• A couple of weeks ago I decided to take the day off from work and Sweet Sweet and I decided to take care of some bidness in Dallas and then take a walk around White Rock Lake.

    I really don’t have a double-chin in real life:

That weekend, I decided to finish a book that I’d started around Christmas and finally finished. This meant lounging around in the backyard.

Also, here’s a garden update. The onions are growing nicely, while we’ve recently planted some tomato and pepper plants.

  • Who’s behind on their blog, raise their hand?

I’ve just found other things to do while on the internet. My bad.

I think this was a month ago, Lesley J. had her birthday and celebration ensued with good times at Fireside Pies, a pizza place:

  • Sweet Sweet and I (mainly Sweet Sweet) decided that we wanted a garden. We decided to do a raised bed garden, and we purchased the railroad ties and Justin F. helped us lay them down. The next weekend I bought organic matter (i.e., poop) and we were on our way. By the way, the organic matter smelled for at least a week, I’m sure our neighbors loved us. And I apologize for the black and white pictures. I didn’t realize it was B/W mode until the last 2 pictures.

First was clearing out all of the weeds in the space for the garden.

    The poop.

    Weeds cleaned out.

Laid down a breathable fabric to keep out weeds.

Sweet Sweet and I will keep you guys posted of how the garden progresses. Right now, we’ve planted broccoli and onions.

  • I was requisitioned to take a few photos of Elam partaking in for his first Birthday.

Elam, I promise you, you will never live down that hat.

  • On January 10, 2009 my Dad was honored with a lifetime achievement award by the North Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association. Good times and a huge congratulations to Dad for being honored by his peers.

  • So I went “hunting” during the weekend of the New Year’s Eve holiday and since I don’t have a permit, I took my camera.

  • It’s been a long time, but I’m hoping you understand. Football season takes up so much of my time that I find time scarce. I know that you guys deserve better, but when time is short, this takes a back seat.

This past weekend, we had a wedding in San Antonio, one of my cousins was married and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen my family.

Sweet Sweet and I go for a walk.

The wedding was at a very nice ranch, close to my Grandmother’s farm.

For some reason I look fat, while my beautiful wife looks gorgeous.
