Herbs, Babies and Pugs

Herb Garden

Miranda’s Herb Garden

This was one of the first pictures I took with the new camera. And yes, the camera is that good, but I am not.

This week was a good week on a couple of fronts. First, I got to talk to my friend Duke on Wednesday of this week. It feels like it’s been months since I’ve had the opportunity to talk with him. Since I know that sweet, clean Duk has told Mo something that’s absolutely not true, I will combat his doings with a bit of niceness: “Mo, I am thinking and praying for you all the time, and yes, you have my permission to use the name Seth for your child.”

Although I am making an effort not to post too many links at PDB (because then it tends to become homework and not a journal), but I found this brand new website, Pugspot, a website dedicated to pugs (My wife owns a pug, and I guess you could consider that I’ve adopted her by now.) . Well, then I found DFW Pug Rescue, which is an organization dedicated to saving pugs. Being the good husband that I am, I passed them onto my wife, but now I she wants to save every one of them. I’ll be honest with you, if there is one soft spot in my heart, it is for dogs and it always makes me shudder to think that someone has abandoned or given up on a puppy dog. I’ve already told Miranda that if I had to choose one just one charity to give to, it would be the SPCA. Hands down. I don’t know if that makes me less of a man or less compassionate to human beings, but dogs are unique in that most need someone to take care of them.

Damn, I love puppy dogs.
