On The Lake

I spent last Saturday on the lake, there’s a couple of thoughts.  First, the lake attracts such a wide variey of people.  I guess the best way to say it is that it’s a class thing.  Yet still, it’s the lake itself that attracts both classes despite the disparity.  Despite most people’s appreciation for the water, the sun and the fishing, I hate the lake.  It’s just not my thing.  I get nervous on the water, not seasick, but like something horrible is about to happen.  Of course, much of this may be a direct result of the people I’m usually hanging out at the lake with are drinking large amounts of alcohol.  This is probably a good example of me revealing a little too much.

Sweet Sweet and I leave for Ireland next week.  Yes, I plan on taking an absolute ton of pictures.  I don’t think I’ll be able to blog from Ireland, I’m doing my best to stay off of the grid while I’m away.  Wife’s orders.  I may check my email, but I’m not going to be responding.

Logo Nerd

Okay, I’ve been a little absent recently. Things are really starting to heat up over on DTN, which makes me incredibly happy. I recently sold my first bit of advertising on DTN and thought about buying stuff. Then I started thinking that I should be investing in DTN rather than material items. The one thing that I’ve never liked DTN was the logo provided to me. It just doesn’t inspire anyone. My litmus test is if I could see myself putting DTN’s logo on a t-shirt. The current logo certainly does not pass.

Thus, I employed an old school logo company from Brooklyn, New York to design a DTN logo that I can be proud to put on t-shirt and handout to all of my friends. Superbra Graphics is going to put DTN on the map.

There’s something very funny about all of this but you just can’t put your finger on it? That’s right, I’m all giddy about a logo. That’s just ridiculous, right? Who gets excited about a logo? Proudly, I do. Oh, and by the way, for those of you who are counting, let’s go over my hobbies:

  • Taking pictures (incredibly nerdy)
  • Majority of free time spent blogging (exceeds nerdy limits)
  • Loves logos (Danger, Will Robinson)

I’ll let you guys know when the logo is up and running.

For now, I leave you with some pictures of my parents house. The are completely random and have really no rhyme or reason.
